"More is better"
This well known At&T commercial is all for the slogan “more is better”. In the beginning of the commercial the guy in the suit asks all of the children, “Which is better, being able to shoot two lasers out of both of your eyes at the same time or just one laser out of one eye?” (AT&T). Without hesitation all of the children shout out that being able to shoot two lasers out of both of your eyes is better than shooting just one laser out of one of your eyes. One of the children go on to explain that one laser beam is, “okay and does a little bit of damage” but “two beams will make something explode!” (AT&T).
This commercial supports the concept that America wants more, more, more. This child is in roughly first grade and he already has his mind set on the idea that more is better. Why have just one laser when you can have two? Settling just isn’t an option anymore. We are always constantly looking for the bigger and better thing. And when the option presents itself for you to choose the bigger and better thing, without hesitation you will do so. This artifact demonstrates and helps support the position statement in the sense that bigger is better and why have less when you can have more?
