"Money, Money, Money"
One of the most frequently watched children shows in America is “Spongebob Squarepants”. Besides from the obvious characters of Spongebob, Patrick, and Squidward, another character who plays a seemingly important role in the show is Mr. Krabs. Mr. Krabs is red crab who owns the restaurant, the Krusty Krab. Mr. Krab is no ordinary crab. His whole life revolves around money, “Money, Money, Money” as he likes to say. He fixates his entire life around money, bending over backwards for even the smallest amounts of change.
Although Mr. Krabs business is successful, that’s not what matters to him. No matter how much business he has or how successful the restaurant is that is never good enough in the eye of Mr. Krabs. I remember in one episode Mr. Krabs decides the restaurant needs to open a drive thru, so that he can make more money. Mr. Krabs is so focused on always trying to improve the restauraunt in order to make more money that in the end that drive thru idea is a complete bust. In other episodes of “Spongebob Squarepants” Mr. Krabs is always looking for more money. On his quests to gain more money, Mr. Krab always ends up unsuccessful and his plots always end up bad in the end. Despite the effort Mr. Krabs puts in to try and obtain more money, the result is always negative, involving Mr. Krabs losing a friend, breaking something that will cost money to fix, losing money instead of gaining it and so much more. It does not matter to Mr. Krabs how successful his business is because in the end he always has his eyes on more. He can never be satisfied with what he has, it’s always more, more, more. It would not matter to Mr. Krabs if he had all the money in the world, that still wouldn’t be enough to quench his thirst for money.
