Fat Girl Tinder Date Social Experiment
Within this video, a beautiful, blonde, skinny women named Sarah sets up dates on the dating website known as Tinder. The catch is, when Sarah arrives at her dates she weighs a lot more than she appears to weigh in her photos on her Tinder profile. This social experiment video truly portrays the judgement that society holds and how this impacts the way we act and think.
Sarah went on a total of five dates with five different men and throughout all of those dates, with the exception of one man, all of the other dates left before the date had even ended. As each date approached and first visibly saw the woman they would be on a date with, their attitude completely changed. Every guy was in complete shock and judged the physical appearance of Sarah. No matter what was on the inside, they were not interested on knowing, instead of getting to know Sarah all of the dates “judged the book by it’s cover” and left Sarah before the date had ended. This social experiment proves why society is the way it is today. It proves that due to the amount of judgement that is within our world, no one is ever comfortable being who they are. No matter how happy you are with the person you see in the mirror, no matter how satisfied with you are with yourself, it’s never good enough because there is always the outside world looking in on you, judging you and your appearances. Due to the hateful, critical world we live in, society has morphed us for the worst, never allowing for us to be truly happy with who we are. No matter how satisfied or how accomplished we feel, that success will never be enough because there is always someone else judging and looking down on you. Because of this criticism we feel, we go to extreme lengths to try and "fit in" and take part in the norm. Society has impacted us for the worst. It is no longer acceptable to just be yourself, there always has to be more. You can always be prettier, always be more handsome. Just being yourself and having a kind heart and a great personality is no longer enough.
