Nobody's Perfect
Hannah Montana’s song “Nobody’s Perfect” preaches a motto that we should all live by. Our judgemental society, full of critics makes us believe that we must look and act perfect, yet perfection can never be reached. We try and try and try, through mounds of makeup, plastic surgery, clothes, and so much more to reach the idea of perfection, yet our achievements, our efforts we put into being “perfect” never work out because as Hannah Montana says, “Nobody’s Perfect” (Hannah Montana).
Today, America has made us believe that we are never good enough. No matter how much we try, regardless of the amount of effort we put in to try and achieve perfection, it is never good enough. In fact, the harsh reality that America has set for us is that we will never be good enough. As Hannah Montana sings in her song, “If I’m not doin’ too well why be so hard on myself?” (Hannah Montana). We are so hard on ourselves to look “perfect” and to have that “perfect” body image, but the truth of the matter is, “Nobody’s Perfect” (Hannah Montana) and nobody will ever be perfect. No matter how much we try, no matter the amount of effort we put in, we will never be perfect and society will never think we are good enough. We need to learn to accept ourselves and stop being so judgemental and hard on ourselves and others because if we stop trying so hard to achieve this idea of perfection and just be ourselves, then true happiness will be achieved.
